LTI-Free Year in Unique Underground Copper Project

Mawarid Mining LLC’s Al Ghuzayn Project has exceeded the 500 meter point in the decline development phase of the project without any LTIs. The Mawarid and Gulf Rock Engineering LLC teams are working closely in the planning and execution of the mining activities.

The Ghuzayn 3 Project, which is one of the projects supported by the Implementation, Support, and Follow-up Unit of Vision 2040 after rigorous studies, proceeded through its first development stage over a year ago and was inaugurated under the auspices of HE. Eng. Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals. The Ghuzayn 3 Project decline development has exceeded 500 meters, with the Mawarid and Gulf Rock Engineering LLC teams working closely in the planning and execution of the mining activities.

The Ghuzayn 3 Project aims to develop and mine the 6.4 million ton ore body, with a grade of 2.04% Cu, which will be processed at the Lasail Concentrator in Northern Al Batinah and exported from Oman’s strategic position. Copper ore is highly valued for its use in various industries including construction, green renewable energy, and electronics.
