Mawarid Exploration & Mining LLC (Mawarid) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mohammed Al Barwani LLC (MB LLC), based in the Sultanate of Oman. Mawarid is focused on sustainable mineral exploration, development, and operation of mining projects domestically and internationally.
Additionally, having successfully initiated, led, and progressed a number of copper exploration, development, and operational projects in Oman, Mawarid has made strategic acquisitions and investments in near-term development projects in Namibia, Rwanda, and Papua New Guinea.
Committed to ensuring the safety of its employees along with the protection of the environment in all of its operations, Mawarid operates under best practices of environmental and occupational health policies & standards, which include monitoring and reporting its standards.
Incorporated as “Mawarid.”
Acquired the Lasail Copper Concentrator.
Initiated exploration and drilling programs.
Began exploration and drilling campaigns across Safwa, Mandoos, and Al Ghuzayn.
Finished production campaigns at Hatta, Shinas, Safwa and Mandoos.
Environment License for Al Ghuzayn project granted.
Mining License for Al Ghuzayn project granted.
Completed the Feasibility Study and Developed the Mine Box-Cut for Al Ghuzayn.
Commenced Decline Development at Al Ghuzayn and Refurbishment of the Lasail Concentrator.
Started Copper Production in Oman and Marine Mining Trials in PNG.
